The show will witness eminent personalities like Dr Alok Puranik, Dr. Anand Prakash, DokNeelima Chauhan, Raghav Mandava and the talk was moderated by Garima Dutt.
There were discussions about the Women and humor. The idea is to what we laugh on when we talk on when we talk about women. They wrote Usually Mock About Women’s driving skills or when it comes to her sense of humor or about the women who want beauty more than her brain.
A few observable readers cum audience will be seen wrapped up at the discussion.
ABOUT THE PANELIST
Dr Alok Puranik, presently works as Associate Professor in the Department of Commerce, in Maharaja Agrasen College, University of Delhi. Dr Puranik is a prolific satirist and writer with more than 3000 articles and over 10 books to his credit such as Neki Kar Akhbaar Mein Daal, White House Mein Ramleela, Corporate Panchtantra, Joote ki EMI, Gaurtalab and many more. He is also active in the field of business and economic journalism since last 3 decades and frequently works with the BBC, Zee Business and LokSabha TV. He has been awarded for his work as a journalist and several times for his humour and satire. In 2007, he received the Bharatendu Harish Chandra Award by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India for his book on Economic Journalism . In 2011, he was honoured with Attahas Yuva Sammaan; in 2012 he received the Kaka Haathrasi Puruskaar and in 2013 he was awarded the Vyangkaar KP Saxena Sammaan. He continues to regale people with his satire through publications in Navbharat Times, Dainik Bhaskar, Dainik Jaagran and Rajasthan Patrika to name a few.
Dr. Anand Prakash taught English Literature in Hans Raj College, Delhi University till retirement in 2007. He has written extensively on literary theory and cultural trends. His publications include Marxist Literary Theory, Wuthering Heights: An Interpretation; Muktibodh In Our Time, jointly with Dr Richa Bajaj, text and performance: the Theoretical View, jointly with Dr Payal Nagpal. He has also translated Georg Lukacs’ The Theory of the Novel into Hindi under the title Upanyas Ka Siddhant. His latest work Anaupcharik: A Bilingual Miscellany came out in February this year. It contains his creative writing in English and Hindi- poems, short stories, drama scripts, short Aces, Offisms Atck His recently published books in Hindi are SamkaleenKavita: Frsnaurjigysyen, Yatharthvad aur Janvad, and today’s verse: Frtinidishvr. Person’s Poet and theater, he has scripted plays in Hindi and English; these have been staged at Shri Ram Centre , New Delhi and also performed in Delhi slums.
Dr. Neelima Chauhan is a popular literary figure of Hindi. Her book Patansheel Patniyon ke Notes published by Vani Prakashan in 2017 has created enough ripples in literary circles and is considered path- breaking work in more Vez Than One. She advocates emergence of mid-brow literary segment in Hindi and other Indian languages. She’s popular voice in literary festivals. At present, Dr Neelima Chauhan is Associate Professor of Literature at Zakir Husain Delhi College ( ME), University of Delhi.
Raghav Mandava is one of those comedians with whom you never know what you ‘re Going to Get. Sometimes is this angry, Sometimes is this Elated. There Hey Times When O wants to talk only to the crowd and There Hey Times Ware is fastened N’t Even Make Eye had contact with the audience. One of the oldest stand up performers from Delhi; he takes pride in being able to get a laugh under any circumstance, whether it is at a private party among the wealthy and literally the royalty, or a college auditorium filled with optimism and hope. If variety is the spice of life, then Raghav Mandava is the masala daan of Indian comedy.
