Today Express News| Ajay Varma | 27 December 2022 : Anuppur. MB Power (Madhya Pradesh) Limited has started levelling low-lying areas created due to the illegal excavation of murram from the government land survey no.373/1/1 and 373/1/2 in Sakra village, Anuppur.
The event witnessed the presence of Mr Sanjiv Kumar Mehra, Regional Officer, MP Pollution Control Board, as Chief guest, Sakra Village Sarpanch, Santosh Kumar Singh, as Guest of Honour, Mr BK Mishra, Plant Head and COO, Mr Ajit Chopde, O&M Head and Environment Head Bhola Kushwaha and other representatives from MB Power Management.
Mr Sanjiv Mehra and Santosh Singh jointly inaugurated the function and showed the green flag to a truck loaded with fly ash for levelling. On this occasion, Mr Mehra explained the rules and regulations related to fly ash disposal and the importance of fly ash for the reclamation of land for reuse. He lauded the initiative taken by MB Power for levelling low-lying areas. He added that 90 acres of land in 10 villages had been levelled with approx 18 lakh tons of fly ash due to such an initiative. Sarpanch Santosh Singh also praised the initiative, saying that such an initiative would give Sakra village a vast playground.
On this occasion, Mr Bhola Kushwaha detailed the initiative taken by MB Power. He said that The Section Officer, Revenue had written a letter to the Management of MB Power, asking for the levelling of such lands.
