Today Express News / Report Ajay verma / The tournament over the years has become an annual event in the industrial town of Faridabad. It attracts golfers from across the Delhi NCR Region and has been a popular tournament for the past 14 years. This year there were close to 70 players in different categories.
Speaking at the event, JCB India CEO and Managing Director, Shri Deepak Shetty said
“We are delighted to be supporting this annual golf tournament for the 14th consecutive year. The industrial town of Faridabad is one of the oldest manufacturing locations in the country and today plays a critical part in various supply chains across India and the World. The town has strong industrial roots and provides employment to lakhs of people and also has the potential to be a manufacturing hub for not only India, but the world”
He further said, “JCB started its operations in the country from Faridabad in 1979 and has since grown over the last four decades. Our headquarters and the factory, which is the world’s largest for Backhoe Loaders is located here”
JCB started its operations in India almost four decades ago and today manufactures over 60 different products in nine product categories. It embodies the vision of Aathma Nirbhar India, with made In India products being exported proudly to over 125 countries.
Shri Deepak Shetty added “We will continue to invest in our operations here and will strive as always to build a world-class manufacturing ecosystem around our Operations. My compliments to the winners in the various categories in this tournament”
Shri Narendra Aggarwal, President of the Faridabad Industries Association said, “FIA is one of the oldest and the largest industry associations in the State. It works towards enabling an industrial ecosystem and also for various welfare activities around its area of operations.
FIA has around 400 members in small, medium and large categories. As a responsible industry Association we play a pivotal role to be the interface between the Industry and Government. We are also supporting the skilling initiatives for the Industry through the FIA Skill Development Centre. This facility provides industry relevant skills which lead to employment.
“It is a matter of pride for us that this tournament is now in its 14th edition, as this event gets all the stakeholders in one place, including the members of FIA.
He further said “JCB has been a great source of motivation and support for us over the last many years. We look forward to a sustained and strong relationship with JCB in the coming years as well”
