Diplomat from Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Delhi visit Surajkund Mela Grounds on 11.12.2017 regarding their Participation as “Partner Nation”

Ms. Nadira Arpachieva, Attache from Embassy of Kyrgyzstan, New Delhi has been assigned the responsibility of being the “Nodal Officer- Partner Nation” by Her Excellency, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan in India to ensure coordination for a grand participation in the forthcoming 32nd Surajkund International Crafts Mela 2018. Kyrgyzstan is gearing up to participate as a Partner Nation in Surajkund Mela for the first time.

In this connection,  Ms. Nadira Arpachieva visited Surajkund Mela Grounds today at 4.00 pm to take stock of the ground reality for chalking out details for a grand participation and took measurements of various area reserved in Mela  Grounds for Krygyz Republic. Shri Rajesh Joon, General Manager, Hotel Rajhans-Cum-Nodal Officer, Surajkund Mela Authority and Shri Jagdish Chander, Sub Divisional Engineer, Haryana Tourism Surajkund coordinated the visit along with other local Haryana Tourism officers.

 

Ms, Nadira on behalf the Ambassador had confirmed participation of more than 15 Artisans, 3-4 Cultural Troupes and putting up an authentic Kyrgyz Cuisine Food Stall for the entire Mela duration besides giving a Kyrgyz like ambiance to the areas allotted to them. She further informed that there is a lot of enthusiasm among the probable Surajkund Mela participants from their country and the their embassy is fully geared up to put a good show.

 

The visit took place after Shri Vijai Vardhan, IAS, Addl Chief Secretary Tourism Haryana-Cum-Vice Chairman, Surajkund Mela Authority along with Shri Maheshwar Sharma, Director Tourism Haryana-Cum-Chief Administrator, Surajkund Mela Authority made a courtesy call to Her Excellency Smt Samargul A.E, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan at their embassy in Delhi last month to discuss details of participation.

 

Kyrgyzstan was the “Focus Nation” in India International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan in Delhi last month in the wake of Silver Jubilee celebrations for diplomatic relations between India & Kyrgyzstan and their partnership with Surajkund Mela Authority & Govt. of Haryana would further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries specially in field of Tourism, Art, Crafts & Culture.
